Reader Luke: his eldest daughter has some rough surgery coming up. Which puts my inability to come up with anything tonight rather into its proper perspective, huh?

God bless and good luck. and bear in mind, it’s insane the kind of stuff they can do with surgeries anymore.
not to take away any attention from Luke’s daughter (my prayers for her as well!), but I would appreciate it if those who are so inclined would also pray for my granddad. he recently had a surgery for swelling on the brain after hitting his head in a fall, and they had to go back and do a second surgery this weekend because of more swelling. my dad went to visit today and said he was about where they (the doctors) expect, which I assume is a good thing. he was still under sedation during my dad’s visit though, so we’ll still need to see how he does after this second round.
My best to him. Neuro injuries are no joke.
Absolutely. When the real concerns of modern-day life, and especially the tragedies that occur, it places everything into the right perspective.
Prayers for Luke’s daughter, and tomiathon’s granddad.
Prayers always for each of us in our personal lives – because in the end, that’s what’s most important – our families and friends.
updates as available please?
Sure.
We should get a date in the next couple of days. The pope’s visit kind of played havoc on the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
My support, Luke.
For whatever it is worth.
