Aside from the fact that most of the SF writers I grew up reading dreamed about getting articles sold to Playboy (they apparently paid top dollar, and on time):

  1. this *totally* discriminates against poor children who don’t have a computer! and against the Muslim refugees who can’t get a reliable wifi hookup!

  3. Quite a few years ago, I was reading a article in Playboy and the author ended the story with a line that went like this. “The reason that I wrote this story for Playboy is that they pay one dollar per word, per word.”.
