It’s unknown (to me at least) yet whether or not you can finish Fallout 4 without killing anyone (except, perhaps, the final boss), but I know that you could do so with fallout 1 and 2 (never tried with 3). I think it was in fallout 1 that dogmeat was a PITA when you were trying to do that, because you’d generally end up with him whether you wanted him or not, and his kills counted against your kill count, so in order to end up with a zero kill count as of the endgame you’d have to scrape him off on some enemies and get him killed. His death didn’t increment the meter, so it was all good…
