Why do I regret nothing? Three words: Silver Shroud quest. That had to have been the voice actor/actress’s favorite Fallout 4 quest. Hands. Down. I was mesmerized.
Alas, I am also up way too late playing it.

PS: If you plan to play Fallout 4, don’t look up that quest ahead of time. I don’t want to spoil anything for you, but I’ll say this: you will be tempted to go absolutely gonzo in the dialog options. Go for it. It’s gloriously mad.
It’s strange. Bethesda gets a lot of grief for its writing. And on the whole, their Main Quest Lines are weak, with underdeveloped stories. Especially when compared to Bioware or Oblivion’s typical central arcs.
But every game, BethSoft does one of these insane, zany faction/sidequests that absolutely rocks. The Morag Tong in Morrowind, Dark Brotherhood and Thieves’ Guild in Oblivion, Blindsighted in Skyrim. The Superhuman Gambit in FO3.
So it’s weird, because they *can* do fantastic quests. But they seem to (in general) take quantity over quality. And I don’t mean that in a slagging way. Morrowind is still one of my favorite RPGs.
“Death has come for you! And I… am it’s Shroud!”
I honestly think FO4 has the most consistently solid writing of any Bethesda game. That might sound like damning with faint praise, but it’s not meant to be. The main story works (so far, I’ve not finished it), the faction quests work, the little side quests have great moments and arcs… Love it. FO4 is Bethesda finally firing on all cylinders.
