It’s hard to explain just how much Mr. T means to some of the folks of my generation. He’s just a good dude; I’ve never met him, but I’d trust him. And I guess Nancy Reagan felt the same way.

Yep. He came across to me as a gentleman with a fist. Not a bad role model. Gold and hair were fringe at the time. But whatever his politics are I don’t know (or even want to know!) them. Wish most performers behaved as such.
