It had hops. And a ridiculously high alcohol content. I’ll be going to bed now, thanks.

PS: Vacation is going just fine, yes. Although I have yet to have a rum punch. Soon. Soon.

Brand? 🙂
Don’t know what he’s drinking, but I had some mead from Moonlight Meadery last Friday. Unusual, but good.

It had the word ‘Viking’ in it. And ‘blod.’ Everything else is vague. 🙂
Hmm. There are a lot more brewpubs than meaderies, but there is a lot more mead being produced than there was 20 years ago, and a large percentage seem to have something to do with vikings. Viking blod comes up with this though, and it has hops [and 19% alcohol :)]:

That’s the stuff.
I love internet reviewers. One guy cannot stop saying “insane” and another keeps saying that this is NOT A BEER!
I’ll have to look for this. I have wanted to try a decent mead (I tried one that I could not really tell from a stronger white wine with maybe a little honey flavor.)
In case anyone cares, I had two more meads from moonlight this afternoon, Fury and Sensible. Both were tasty. Sensible is just a moderately sweet mead. Fury is somewhat sweeter, with ghost and scorpion peppers. Some pepper flavor, some heat, but not insane amounts [the kind of burn you’d get from Tex-Mex food].
