Now it’s just a matter of getting my wife packed for Pennsic. And then… oh, dear. I will be stuck all alone in the house for maybe a week. This hasn’t happened in a very, very long time. I’m not sure how I’m supposed to function under those conditions…

If you simply MUST do the Tom Cruise in Risky Business thing, for GOODNESS’ sake don’t tell us about it

Heh,
I was thinking more like….
Bow bow… China chika…. Oh yeah
It troubles me that I thought “Risky Business” before I saw your comment…
Remember Joel, no parties!
I’m expecting many blog posts on adventures in house-cleaning and experimental-cooking.

I’m definitely gonna try that souped-up (ahem) ramen recipe I linked to a while back. Got the jars from IKEA and everything.
Since I’ve gotten some very good recipes from this site (and not just during flame wars) I’m *not* complaining about this!

Books and video games, naturally.
It’s also a great time to bypass the honey-do list, and accomplish things *you* want to.
There’s no honey-do list, actually. Or, rather, it’s “honey-do kill a six-pack and binge-watch Netflix for a day, if you think you need the time off.”
I’m in awe.
Your wife rocks.

Destiny is no longer going to be receiving content updates and endgame PvP events on 360/PS3. It’s still supported, just losing playerbase pretty rapidly on the systems. If you want to make a run at it while you have time, I can help you out.
(I’d be more tempted to upgrade if I didn’t have a HD full of games I haven’t played yet. And if moving in the near future wasn’t so likely. But if did upgrade, I’d be geeking out over Fallout 4 and Overwatch long before I repurchased a game I’ve already thouroghly explored.)
ALE AND HARLOTS, MATEY!!…
Oh wait, you’re happily married. Sorry, no idea what married guys do when they get such a break, much less happily married ones. (I’ve never actually met one) Never been there, never expect to be, sooo… GAmes and geekery galore?
“The couple that geeks out together…” or something like that.
