Looks to me like they are doing it the right way. Classic reluctant hero, with a wise father figure teaching him to do what is right and not turn his back on people in need.

I always like the stories other people call ‘trite’. There is a reason they are classics and people dust off the same ideas over and over again and put new twists on them. The noble hero. The love story. The underdog.

When done right, they resonate with people, make them think about better days and maybe making some of them themselves.
First, squeee! I’m loving the superhero tv! Great call back to his original costume when he’s coming out of the water. Can’t wait for the Iron Fist appearance, they are one of my favorite team ups, I collected the title when it was originally coming out. If I get really lucky they’ll bring in Colleen Wing and Misty Knight, the Daughters of the Dragon.
Marvel is doing fabulous work bringing their characters to the big and small screen. Hopefully Geoff Jones can help out DC’s big screen offerings.
