Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3: Go/No-Go?

And if ‘Go’ on Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 then should I get the others? The cheerfully ludicrousness of the third installment is honestly the biggest attraction for me.  I’m not really looking for intense, although if the games are otherwise awesome I won’t object to intense, either.

    1. Also, I greatly enjoyed the others as more traditional RTS, even Command&Conquer prime was okay.

      Get all the things.

  1. Actually, the problem here may be Amazon. As much as I like them, a lot of their download files for games aren’t updated in any way. That file you downloaded for Red Alert is likely the same one that they got from EA back in 2008.

If you actually want to play it, head over to Origin. One, their price for all 17 C&C games is equal to just buying RA3 by itself. (And wait until next Thursday as if I had to guess, it’ll be on sale for Black Friday. I’ve seen the C&C collection for as little as $5.) And it’ll work. I run Win 10 as well and downloaded RA3 to test it. Ran through the tutorial mission without a hitch, except for all my graphics settings being set to “Very Low” and stern warnings if I went higher than that. Apparently a 970 is so far beyond the top end of 2008 that the detect settings freak out about it. RA3 is on Steam too, but isn’t as likely to be on sale.

Oh, and FYI- the multiplayer ran through Gamespy, so yeah. If you do play it, it’ll be solo.
