Making the Cheese and Garlic Crack Bread.

Background here:  had to make this this afternoon, before the bread went too stale.  Pictures of the extravaganza so far:

I suspect that I probably should have added more cheese, but we will see in about fifteen minutes or so.

[UPDATE]: The cook times on the recipe are off, a little: the innermost cheese did not quite melt.  But the outside looked very nice:

It’s still tasty: sourdough bread plus butter plus garlic plus mozzarella cheese generally is.  But we put the heel of the bread back into the oven to crisp up and melt the rest of the cheese.  If you do this recipe, keep track of the internal heat.

    That’s what we found when we tried the recipe a couple of weeks back. But you can’t go wrong with butter, garlic, cheese, and bread.
