Found here and here (horror-flavored, but not grimdark). Meg Syv has found a definite vein of something while laboring in the creative minds; I’m quite keen to find out what it is. She’s also got a Patreon that you should think about supporting – right after you support mine, of course. Or, heck, even before. It’s Christmas season, after all.

Interesting. This and DOTL have tragic heroines with hidden/terrifying faces.
Well, artists all have concepts that particularly resonate with our psychological makeup. 🙂
Wicked.

I don’t think I want to see that particular storyline continue. Much better to leave it at the resolution and let the mystery remain, than to explain it and kill the wonder.
Err … did you mean “laboring in the creative mines”, perchance?
BTW, Meg “Cheeko” Syv has done a few comics over the years. One of them is over 200 pages long, but she has said (IIRC) that it could have been better plotted.
OTOH, she put a lot of planning and (great) world-building into “Daughter of the Lilies”. As she says on page 4.36, it’s not based on DnD, it’s based directly on LotR, Narnia etc. It’s probably my favorite webcomic at the moment.
Yes, but I actually kind of like ‘laboring in the creative minds:’ I may use that as a title for something, down the line.
Hmm.
