And it looks a good deal more coherent, now. It also knows its target audience. Blasting stuff from Led Zeppelin 1 is pretty much a subtle signal to the SCA crowd. You can trust us, it whispers. We know what you like. We know what you need.

Err, SCA?
Society for Creative Anachronism
.
Sort of a very idealized medieval reenactment group.
😉 I could get on board with the bit about whacking each other with pretend swords, but dancing and making costumes aren’t remotely interesting to me.
Yeah, most men (and their sons) sign up for the sword-and-board combat ..
.
…then their wives make ’em “do something with our daughter!” ..
.
…and the girls discover costumes and heraldry (and, oh yeah, sword-and-board can be fun too)..
.
..and then the sons discover girls, and dancing ensues.
.
SCA. It’s not just a hobby.

p.s. I was involved for a while, how’d you guess?
Much simpler for me: I was told that there would be beer, and women who would understand my geek jokes. And lo! there were both of these.
It looks better than the one starring Richard Geer.

It does look like Cornwall, so it’s got that going for it.
But those pauldrons! And the sheer anachronism of the architecture, arms, and armor! (I swear I saw 16th century German helms.)
