I’m sorry, but I liked Kong: Skull Island. I was very straightforward in my desires: I wanted to see a giant ape on the big screen, and they gave me a giant ape. This movie comes out next week on DVD, and I’m debating getting it. I’ll want to be up to date before the next Monsterverse flick comes out, after all.
And so, adieu to Scooby-Doo: Mystery Incorporated.
What’s there to apologize about? That was a fun movie!
So, reading what you’re saying, is the rumor I heard true that Kong: Skull Island is supposed to inhabit a shared universe with the Godzilla movie of a couple years ago? I didn’t go see Kong in theaters, which I felt badly about because I need to support the career of my future wife Brie Larson, but if this is going to be a whole shared-universe thing then I may have to see it.
.
In other shared-universe news, The Mummy was not as bad as I thought it would be, but I don’t know how viable it is as the first movie in a monster series.
They’ve already started filming Godzilla: King of the Monsters. http://www.dreadcentral.com/news/238511/first-godzilla-king-monsters-bts-photos-show-debris-destruction/
As for the Mummy: I liked it, but they had better fast-track that Frankenstein flick if they want to salvage things.
