The Monster Hunter International RPG: Savage Worlds Edition Kickstarter.

This funded fast.

Monster Hunter International RPG: Savage Worlds Edition — well, obviously: roleplaying game, uses Savage Worlds, and is based on MHI. For those of you who don’t do RPGs, I should note that supplements like this are often useful as reference guides for the original fiction. Particularly if the game writers are working with the actual writer or writers, which is what seems to be happening here. So if you’re a MHI fan, you might want to consider grabbing this on its own merits.  Besides, RPGs are fun.

Yes, I know that there’s a joke there.

  1. I will note that this is the second MHI KS project. The first MH RPG used the Hero System and is available for sale for an immediate RPG fix.

    1. I will note Larry Correia’s fans are .. the phrase “rabid manatee” comes to mind ..

This is not a bad thing.

      Hoooon

    2. I didn’t jump in for the first, because I was broke, and because, well, Hero System.

Don’t get me wrong, there is a lot good to say about the system. I’ve played it, I’ve run it, and it does have a lot to recommend it, especially if you paper over the quirks. (Like being able to model the same attack three different ways, each of which requires the defender to react differently if he’s not going to just soak the damage. Make sure to guess right!)
There are just also a lot of bad things to say about it, especially with respect to the (IMX, almost universally toxic) playerbase.
