Good God, Dwayne. What were you thinking?
Although the terrifying thing about this one is, the concept kind of grows on you. I mean, Rampage was a video game about giant creatures that destroyed buildings and helicopters and tanks? Sorry, it’s been a while — but the point is, ‘giant monsters attacking skyscrapers’ is actually something that could support a movie. A very, very straightforward movie. Which admittedly this one kind of looks like being.
Still. Dwayne. Come on, man.
As I recall, though, the original story of Rampage was that three humans got turned into the monsters. Once you ran out of health, you turned back into a little naked person.
With that said, I’m 100% on board for this one.
Yep, that’s pretty much it. One was modeled after King Kong (the left player), one after Godzilla (center player), and I forget who the right player was modeled after– some kind of Wolfman, I think.
Part of playing was eating people to regain health. If you happened to eat a person that had formerly been a monster, you let out a nice ROAR.
Just saying, they better have a scene of one of the monsters eating a toilet. Best gag in the game (at least, according to 8-year old me).
If I can just find a movie buddy, I would so go see this.

Dwayne Johnson doesn’t make Oscar-worthy movies. All he does is make movies I enjoy for what they are
