I have no real objection to this series as a series besides the fact that I never particularly got into any of them after the first Jurassic Park. I just think that the people running the planet in that universe should not be allowed to go out into the rain. Personally, if it was up to me I’d drop thermobaric bombs on that island until it was flat; let’s see if life can find a way around having its lungs pulled out of its chest, a la World War Z (the book).
But this looks all right, for what it is.
I’m glad you avoided the traditional “Nuke it into a parking lot” approach. That’s how we get Matthew Brodderik Godzilla movies.
I’m worried. More accurately, I think I agree with Grace Randolph on this one. Jurassic World sold us on the “What if Jurassic Park opened?” concept. This looks more like Jurassic Park 3 to me. I need more.

Also, wasn’t Dr. Ian Malcom against making these monsters in the first movie? Why is he now (or appearing to be) DEFENDING these beasts?
Life does find a way.

My parents live in a desert, some 60 miles from the nearest thing that could (loosely) be described as a forest. Yet within two years of the walnut tree they planted starting to produce, they had squirrels. Bunches of them.
It bothers me that I can’t figure out *how* in the heck that happened.
