…there’s no real interest here in playtesting the Jane Austen RPG, right? It’s OK if there isn’t: my meatspace gaming group* is pretty pumped about trying it. We’re going to write up the characters this gaming session and try it out the next one. And, to be honest, I would have had to squeeze some time out of other stuff to get an online playtest session going. The deadline for feedback is in a month (this is a pretty tight playtest schedule, yes).
But I never actually asked.

*Oddly, I’m currently the only guy playing.
I think the Jane Austen RPG sounds awesome (especially since it is being expanded to include both magic and intrigue), but I do not have the time or inclination to play test it (even though I am sure that it would be an awesome experience). Do let us know how it goes.
This just begs for the “…and Zombies” expansion.
I argued for it; but they polled the backers, and the backers wanted magic rules, and Zorro.
…I can’t really argue with that. Particularly the latter. I spent five minutes trying to figure out if I wanted my Have Your Own Character In The Game pledge level to be magical or swashbuckly.
Ahh, well, I suppose that fits the demographic more. Did they not allow you both, or was that even a higher pledge level?
I would have had to get the pledge twice, so yeah. 🙂 It’s OK: I’m going to submit a vicar with an interest in certain curious native customs and rituals, who needs a suitable wife for his missionary work. I must practice my mad, Lovecraftian grin.
Does it come with the 18th Century Patent Law Expansion Module? Because if I can’t be a guy in a little office copying patent law by hand by the light of a candle with a quill and a bottle of ink for 18 hours a day with no human contact other than my heartless boss who refers to me only as “boy”, I’m not playing.
Just kidding. Even if I could play a Triceraton with amnesia, I think I’d pass.
