I dunno.
I didn’t see this, because it doesn’t have exploding starships and/or wizards’ duels in it. But I guess Baby Driver didn’t suck? Honest Trailers is making it sound like it didn’t suck. You can tell when they have an underlying problem with the movie and when they didn’t. I’m thinking that they did, there.
And I did like the running gag in the trailer, too.
Meh. It was okay. For a Kevin Spacey movie.
You mean, a Christopher Plummer movie.
It was a good movie. Reminded me of Miracle Mile in a way.
The choreography, linking action to sound, was really, really good. (specifically, tying gunfire to the beat of the background music in a way far more complex than, say, the currently-airing Mission Impossible trailer.)
You should totally rent it, unless you hate heist movies.
What? I love heist movies. Who doesn’t?
…OK, not everybody loves heist movies and that’s absolutely their right. Still, I love heist movies. I just never get a chance to watch any.
That was the generic you, not the Moe you.
I mean, I wouldn’t watch this with little kids, certainly, but yeah, this was a lot of fun, and the Honest Trailer kind of oversells the awkward a bit. Something to definitely watch for is the excellent synchronization of the music with the action, not just when there’s shots fired. I missed this, but my son pointed it out: at one point there’s a firefight, and they play high notes when people are firing above concealment like cars, and low notes when people are, say, firing *under* cars.
Oh, that does sound cleverly done.
