My The Incredibles 2 mini-review.

Short version: The Incredibles 2 Does Not Suck. Go see it with a clear heart and untroubled brow. It is a worthy sequel to the original.

Slightly longer version: …much the same, really. The retro-Sixties aesthetic is stronger in this one, the action is smoothly spectacular on a regular basis, and the cast is clearly tickled pink to be back.  They actually started by apologizing that it took so long to make a sequel.  But it was that slightly smug apology you get, you know? The kind with the subtext But you’re gonna forgive us, because we’re going to have fun, you and us.  And it was fair; I did.

PS: It’s a shame that there’s no real way to give Edna her own movie. Or a TV show, all things considered. It probably wouldn’t have the same magic, anyway.
