  1. I was already pretty sure that there was shady business with Chicago’s (horrible) public art.

    Now, it’s a certainty.
    .
    I was also wondering why the heck I hadn’t seen experimentation with vantablack. Sure, it’s expensive, dangerous, etc. But that certainly didn’t stop artists from experimenting with Prussian Blue!
    .
    I was annoyed by the claim that the pigment mixer makes no profit.
    He obviously must, or he couldn’t afford took keep doing it, much less continue experimenting on new pigments.
    Making a profit doesn’t mean that you’re wealthy. It just means that your business is not bankrupt.
    Not to mention, “struggling innovative entrepreneur against an entitled, connected figurehead of the status quo” is actually a much more compelling storyline. (If you’re not a brain-dead Commie.)

    I am curious about how the bean has no visible welds, but clever construction doesn’t make something into art.
