The new Hellboy trailer is trying *really* hard.

I don’t mean that to be snide. I think that Hellboy‘s people understand that this is a potentially fraught project, and that this isn’t twenty years ago. The comic book nerds ain’t gonna be fine with just seeing the IP appear in any old form. The state of play is at a higher now.

I dunno if I really want to see this movie quite yet, but I do wanna figure out where my Hellboy comics went. So… victory? At least in the sense of establishing a battlespace?

  1. Two points, first if they’re using BabaYaga that’s a deep cut. Second, hopefully it’s just my device, but all of Hellboys lines sounded…off, like they were badly looped after rerecording. Hopefully this is fixed if it isn’t just a personal glitch.

    1. If that’s not Baba Yaga’s hut I don’t know what it is. It’s too small to be Howl’s Moving Castle.
