Apparently Billy Batson will spend a decent portion of Shazam! learning what Superman had to, more or less at his age: to wit, that Billy now lives in a world made of cardboard*.
I am down with this. I look forward to it, in fact. It appears that they had fun imagining how that would play out, which is really what I want them to do with the concept anyway.

I’m definitely going to see that.
But shouldn’t having the wisdom of Solomon give him a head start in that regard? o_O
Ah, but the trick is getting a teenager to LISTEN to the wisdom. 😉
Typically the wisdom to listen and learn from the wisdom of others is both the most useful and the most preciously guarded by the universe. To truly learn that often takes the form of getting hit by a truck.
Oh yes. Wisdom, like experience, is often not to be had until just imediately *after* you need it.
That looks like a lot of fun.
Meh. Child actors are hit or miss, and these seem to skew more toward ” replacement kid on a fading sitcom” than ” Drew Barrymore/Ricky Schroeder diamond in the rough”
If they get the rest of the Marvel family right this could go somewhere. And I still want The Rock as Black Adam, that is too good to miss. So I’m hoping this is not The Suck.
