Sonny Bunch dropped this one on Twitter. Knives Out looks… interesting, yes? They’re not being very solemn in this?
It feels like the cast got stoned and then started sitting around with the writers while telling them what kind of weird stuff the cast always wanted to do in a movie. Most obviously in the case of Chris Evans, who I will forgive for wanting to swear at people for a minute straight in a movie. Goodness knows he’s been forced to keep his nose clean in that regard for a decade or so.
Anyway, I like a good whodunit. Whether or not Knives Out is going to be one of them will apparently be revealed at Thanksgiving.
I hope it bombs so bad that the writer/director never works again.
I wrote more stuff that I hope happens to him, very over the top, but it wasn’t very Christian, even after I toned it done a few times.
Ignoring, for a moment, the Star Wars connection .. Looper wasn’t a bad idea, although it wasn’t as well done as it could’ve been.

All that aside, I am now going to have LaKeith Stanfield in mind when reading the ‘Peter Grant’ books .. trying to decide whether that’s a good or bad thing.
