Today I started the map-purchasing process. I’ve commissioned Robert Altbauer of Fantasy Map to do the job; he comes well-recommended, and after seeing some of his work I was happy to hire him to do the work. One more possible add-on, I think. Speaking of which: I want to see how FROZEN DREAMS is doing at the midpoint level before I decide how to do add-ons. Backerkit will make it a lot easier, but also cost money to set up and run. If I don’t get very many more backers, it may make more sense for me to run things on my own*.
Also: …so there’s money in audiobooks, then? I hadn’t really realized that this might be a thing, but I keep hearing that apparently this is a thing. At any rate, I’m hoping that by the end of the week I’ll have a sample chapter to use in order to raise interest and plug the $3K stretch goal. I’m kind of grooving to the idea of a FROZEN DREAMS audiobook on general principles, in fact. It seems thematically appropriate**.

*And it very well may not, even at my current numbers.
**I’m not grooving on it to the extent of even thinking about delaying the main book’s release, however. I have so far managed to arrange things that everybody gets paid and everything I said that I’m gonna do I can do. The real danger here is to over-promise, and I’m not down with letting that happen at all.
