I liked CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER, both as a book and a movie, but I wasn’t thrilled with how the movie wrapped things up. The below would have been a better ending. Hell, I suspect Tom Clancy was kind of kicking himself that he hadn’t got input from Milius earlier.

I remember one of the bad guys decided to step in front of a bus, but otherwise I can’t remember how the story ended. Maybe I will re-read it some day. I think I have only read The Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, and Clear and Present Danger of the Jack Ryan books. I remember liking them, but not enough to track down all of the sequels.
Interesting interview. Milius has always been one of my favorites.
