Well, it was KIND of productive.

Caught typos, installed computers, installed memory chips, tried to find VGA adapters in a world gone mad; and, again, got the proof copy squared away. All I have to do there is wait for the order link to show up so I can actually order it, then go through the text with a fine-tooth comb. Oh, and we had waffles from a waffle food truck for lunch. Dinner waffles are the best waffles.

Can’t wait for the weekend, though. The schools are stuffing a lot of learning into the last two weeks, and it’s not being received well here. My kids aren’t that thrilled, either.

  1. I finished Frozen Dreams last night. I really enjoyed the story, and the tone of the writing. Most of the world-building questions I had were adequately answered by the end, and the listing of personae dramatis and locations were a nice summary.

One thing that tripped me up – around location 2833 in the Kindle version, there’s a talk between Tom and Lucas where they’re talking about Father Mike. In particular, there’s this line:

“Really? What brought that on?” said Jake.

Who’s Jake? Was that supposed to have been Lucas?
