Now, obviously, STAR WARS: VISIONS was supposed to be anime, because it’s a collection of episodes from various Japanese animation studios. So conceded. It is, however, almost immediately clear that the studios in question were not phoning their anime-ness in.
My only worry here is that they’re going to try to make me watch the dubbed versions. Which, yeah, no. I am totally a snob that way.
Not sure how I didn’t see it before, but you really can just take every katana trope there has ever been, and just swap in a lightsaber one for one and keep rolling. I mean, they managed to make *blade catch* work. (I really have to give them style points for that one.)
Okay, so you can’t really do a lot of the ones about blood specifically, and the bits about reflecting light aren’t necessarily going to work either, but other than those?
Did the bit in the trailer where the six lightsaber blades were wrapped around one lightsaber blade remind anyone else of Space Balls? Because it reminded me of Space Balls.
Just saying…
Yes.
Were there Chocobos in that trailer? Because I’m pretty sure I saw some Chocobos. Final Fantasy: Star Wars doesn’t sound all that terrible, really.
