The Miskatonic Missives: The Letters of H.P. Lovecraft Kickstarter is a HPL Historical Society project, so that’s promising. What they did in each Missive was take one of HPL’s letters and annotate the heck out of it, with explanations of the cultural references; they also added original artwork and fiction, plus the trademark props that makes HPLHS’s stuff so much fun. The Missives look gorgeous and I wish I could afford the full set of three. I may yet talk myself into getting it.

Since a wrapper is one of the “feelies” in the first book, I’ll volunteer that the Owyhee Candy Company still makes the Idaho Spud bar.
Shockingly, they’re really, really good.
(What significance they had to HPL, is a complete mystery to me.)
While I’m on the topic, I’ll add that Owyhee is a transliteration of Hawaii. There’s a story about why the southeastern corner of Idaho is called that, even though it’s mostly desert, Indian reservations, and mountains. But I’m afraid it’s complicated and I don’t remember most of it.
