The Surprise! Brandon Sanderson *Really* Doesn’t Need My Help to Advertise His Four Secret Novels Kickstarter.

I mean… wow. Thirteen million on a one million dollar pledge goal. In the first day. That is, like, massively cool.

Congratulations, Brandon Sanderson. It’s fun to see this going on. Not as much fun as seeing it going on for you, I imagine, but still fun to see.

      1. Does “quite a bit” invoke an agent and a publisher hiding under their respective beds, in the fetal position, sucking their thumbs and whining piteously?

  1. That’ll buy a lot of swag for the swag-collectors, but that’s tens of thousands of packages per *month* next year.

    1. Yeah. I looked at the Kickstarter, and after I finished raising my eyebrows at the original goal total I decided it was actually reasonable. I could easily see somebody spending a lot of money on materials and labor for something like those packages. 15.25 million, though… that’s a powerful temptation to go overboard.
