I suspect they’re all gonna go out in a blaze of glory. Get all ROGUE ONE up in this business. Because it’s already been made clear that there won’t be a GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOLUME 4.
I am looking forward to this movie. The GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY and ANT-MAN flicks have always been my personal favorites, mostly because they’re goofy entertainment that never would have gotten greenlit with this kind of budgeting under normal circumstances. Since the first ones of both got made in Marvel-Disney’s ‘drunk with power’ phase, they got — well, not blank checks. But extremely generous ones, with a higher first digit than the producers were prepared to ask for. It’s been a fun run in the theaters for the GotG movies, and I’ll be sorry to see them go.
Note: that is not the same as ‘make another movie.’ You should finish something when it’s time to finish it. I think Gunn’s smart for stopping here.
