I am kind of skeptical, on a theoretical level. The first season of GOOD OMENS had a book plot to follow, which kept it on track. This… will not. On the other hand, Neil Gaiman is involved in the show, so it’s not going to be completely off the rails. And, on the gripping hand: a lot of it will depend on the cast, just like the first time.
I’m willing to give the first episode a shot.
I find myself wondering if David Tennant ever made anything *bad* ?
One could argue Gracepoint suffered from being a shot-for-shot remake that just didn’t translate across the pond, but the OG Broadchurch was good in proper context.
