Welp, it was a tough month, sales-wise.

Not gonna lie on that one. Sales went through the floor, in all categories. The good news is that I have four venues in the next few months, starting with the MD Renn Faire in a week. After that, it’s back-to-back cons a month later, and a new one in November. I think that the mix of old and new sites will be good for sales, and of course the new novel is coming out soon.

After that… well, I’ve had good luck with Kickstarters. The trick is to just keep getting on with things.

  1. It only takes a single sale to get me celebrating. Consequently, I have not done much celebrating lately. Somebody said that a professional writer is just an amateur who didn’t quit. Keep on keepin’ on, Mr. Lane.

    1. I heard one time of a writer who calculated a “Twenty by Forty” strategy of sales. That is, IF starting in college, he could have written twenty novels by age forty, and only then would the sales permanently sustain him. It’s a long game.
