Hmmm… maybe Doom in modern times but the Fantastic Four are (previously unmentioned) historical heroes…?
Who knows?
I… will wait until Moe has seen this one to decide if I will. (and I like the Fantastic Four)
Mew
That’s certainly casting against type.
It would be interesting to see how he does, but screw Devil Mouse.
Doom without the FF4, I’m not at all sure about.
Without that bundle of dysfunctional relationships, he really slips more into anti-villain status, or even anti-hero, depending on the focus. (I recall a story arc like 40 years ago where everything he was doing was objectively good, but because of protagonist-centered morality and his showing up Reed Richards, he was the full melodrama villain.)
Huh. I mean….. huh.
Dr. Doom is the best villain Marvel has, in my opinion. But doing him without Reed Richards seems wrong.
And I really hope that casting Robert Downey Jr. does not mean we have some alternate time line Tony Stark instead of a proper Victor von Doom.
Literally everything would be forgiven if they put in this scene and made it work.
