Tales from Gavagans Bar, by L Sprague DeCamp. Short stories from the golden age, precursor to Callahans, successor to Jorkens, still readable and entertaining today.
*The collected and illustrated edition from 1978 is best if you can find it.
I have read that one. It was good! I wonder if I still have it.
Have you done “Mote in God’s Eye” or “On the Gripping Hand” recently? Did you like them enough to recommend?
Did Mote a while back. Both good; rather, Gripping Hand is good and Mote is bloody amazing.
I read Mote for the first time about a week ago. I had heard it was good and heard a synopsis of the story, but my word was I not ready for how good it was.
