Wait, I thought that this was a joke. I guess it’s not: “It looks like Disney is actually finally moving forward with National Treasure 3.” Bruckheimer to produce; no idea on the cast. I’m sure that Nick Cage would be happy to come back, though.
I’m fine with this, by the way. The first NATIONAL TREASURE was exactly that: the greatest depiction of somebody’s RPG campaign that I have ever seen, including that moment where two of the three players critically fail their American History skill rolls and the third player manages to critically succeed on an IQ check*. And I found the second movie acceptable, too, so I will permit a third. Do the Magna Carta this time!

*He even mocked them for it! It was like looking through a window and seeing somebody’s gaming table. That was when I knew I was watching something special.
“But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and provide new Guards for their future security.”
I’ll be honest. My first reaction was “Wait… Didn’t they already make a National Treasure 3?”, cuz it just seemed like a franchise that would be on their 4th or 5th movie by now.
You’d think. I mean, the first two made money.
