There’s actually a comment in that thread by someone who at least strongly implies that they were part of the decisionmakign process saying, basically “Seriously. We’re all under 40. We knew what we were doing when we allowed that to be a finalist.”
The two local guys for the parties were all, “Heck yeah we approved that as a finalist!”
