I almost regret never actually seeing HOCUS POCUS now, or at least then. Almost. This is one of those Honest Trailers where the movie itself probably can’t live up to the review of it.

It’s just bad.
It’s like a PG-13 mashup of Once Bitten, Warlock, and Home Alone, with all of the interesting bits removed.
Which features actresses incapable of physical comedy, and dialogue as sharp as a cutting board.

Saw it a few days ago with my wife, who saw it as a kid, and my son. I was just a few years too old when it first came out for it to appeal to me.
I didn’t get much out of it, but I can get that it stuck with people who saw it when they were 10. Which is fine. It’s okay to make a kids’ movie that just for kids.
