Assuming that Dwayne Johnson isn’t just talking BS for the cameras (always a possibility): why wouldn’t Warner Bros want another Henry Cavill Superman flick? I imagine that there’s a story there, or two. They might not be interesting stories, but they’d exist.

Hmm. The trailers had me a little lukewarm, but if this is actually true it shows a level of fan engagement long missing from the superhero genre. (Besides Ryan Reynolds, who is an outlier.) It may make me reconsider seeing the film… but I’m still skeptical after being burned by previous films I “gave a chance”.
