Which is a damned shame, because I didn’t know I wanted that until the concept was brought up*.
*Can it be done? I dunno: can it?

At the Mountains of Madness is unfilmable. (And I’m not just saying that because it’s my least favorite HPL story. Seriously, I kind of hate it.)
You could do the first bit effectively. (Vivisected dogs is pure squick, but with just an ounce of discretion…)
And you could do the last bit effectively. (Running from the Shoggoth? Yes, please. The copilot losing his mind over something we can’t see? Totally down.)
But the greater part of the story is looking at bias reliefs, and somehow having their meaning psychically imprinted on the protagonist’s consciousness. That’s not something you can actually show, and you’d have to.
“but it would be nice” reads to me as “I don’t currently have the support to make it happen – but if I happened to get a sudden swell of fan enthusiasm for the idea….”
So the real question is how many *other* people have suddenly discovered that they wanted that thing.
