DO NOT WANT Watch: a GRAVITY FALLS revival?

No, no, NO. Somehow, and I don’t know how, Disney managed not to [expletive deleted] up GRAVITY FALLS. Its two seasons were precisely the proper number. It was weird, perfect, and perfectly weird. My kids loved it and so did their parents. Most importantly: again, Disney managed not to [expletive deleted] up GRAVITY FALLS. I have no confidence in the current studio’s ability to reproduce that feat.

So DO NOT WANT.

PS: No, I don’t expect them to avoid [expletive deleted]ing up a new PHINEAS AND FERB, either. Honestly: do you? Really? Really?

  1. My sympathies. Welcome to the Rebellion.™ (No seriously, Gina Carano’s crew has that as merch)

  2. Ah, I remember the days when we thought Disney would not screw something up because they were Disney.

  3. I have some hope for Phineas and Ferb because of Dan Povenmire. Dude is a legend, has continued to make stuff that does not suck , and is deeply engaged with the P&F fanbase in person and on social media.

There’s also some hope for both because Disney’s television teams have been putting out decent and sometimes downright good stuff in the last few years. For example, both my kids and my peer friends love The Owl House.

I wouldn’t bet money on the new Gravity Falls being good, but I have enough faith to pray the Nerd’s Prayer for it.
