PS: It’s so nice to have a deep bench for 2016. Particularly since the Democrats are contemplating the fact that they’re either going to run an old white guy who keeps saying progressively more neurologically alarming things, and a somewhat younger white woman who can’t campaign her way out of a paper bag. Oops, sorry, forgot: we’re doomed! Doomed, I say!

I’m really not on board with Jindal. Nothing to do do with his race, or even anything he’s done. It’s just that it’s inconceivable to me that someone could make his way through the cesspool that is Louisiana politics without being, well, covered in crap. Maybe he did it, but it’s just not the smart way to bet. It’s like I’ve said to a bunch of people about Obama, ‘You expected someone non-corrupt that came up through Chicago machine politics?’ I really don’t want the same thing to be said about the Republican nominee.
I understand that hesitation; but if Jindal’s dirty, he’s done a REALLY good job at covering his tracks.
I don’t mind if a politician is dirty .. as long as he’s smart enough to not get caught.

The problem with politics is that power tends to wind up in the hands of the people who lust after it….
We should get Jindal or Walker. Unfortunately, we’ll end up with Christie.
If the past 2 presidential cycles are any indication, we’ll end up with the second most communist RINO running in the election. In ’08, McCain was just to the right of Rudy “I think Bloomberg is doing a good job” Giuliani (who, by the way, was considered the frontrunner right until primaries started to happen). In ’12, Romney was just to the right of John “Obama’s a swell guy; he made me an ambassador” Huntsman.
So, the question is who would be running to the left of Christie to make him the (albeit terrible) “compromise” candidate?
