(Via @tsgop) This is a nice hit: I was previously unaware that Charlie Crist, the Democratic (this week, at least) candidate for Florida-GOV, has never paid property taxes.
Mind you, I did already know that Charlie Crist was capable of lying about Rick Scott raising property taxes (even the liberal Politifact couldn’t get higher than ‘Mostly False‘ about that one). I just hadn’t realized that Crist had never actually owned property in Florida on his own hook. The only thing that I find more amazing than the fact that Crist seems to think that he can completely reinvent himself from being an opportunistic and somewhat shaky Republican into a fairly doctrinaire and uninspiring Democrat is that the Florida Democratic party is so intellectually and morally parched that they have no other choice but to let him.
I really do think that Rick Scott’s going to pull this one out of the dive. Can’t say that about every race, maybe, but I like our chances with this one.

Zzzzzz… *wakes up* Has this race become interesting yet? No? Meh. *falls asleep* Zzzzz..
Scott, love him or blah him, has been steadily improving his numbers and tearing down Crist’s for pretty much the whole year. Latest polls have him finally ahead of Crist. I’m reasonably optimistic he’ll win as Crist is about as perfect a foil as he could ask for.

I just hope a second Scott term will be less rocky than the first (yeah… right)
The thing that will really spin your head, is that no matter who wins they will 1) face a [possibly veto proof] RPOF legislative body and 2) be term limited.
.
Why is this race is boring? It doesn’t matter who wins. Even on the off chance that Crist wins, the Florida legislative branch will make his life a living hell. Crist will soon wish he was back in his mother’s womb, where it was warm, wet, and safe.
