Mind you, if this is true I’m just being stubborn about it:
Amazing. RT @moxiemom: The Ripper unmasked: DNA identify Britain’s most notorious criminal http://t.co/rg6sLoJOLO via @MailOnline

Basically, the guy’s arguing that this shawl that he has and various analyses of mitochondrial DNA reveal Jack to be… Aaron Kosminski, the Polish Jewish hairdresser (and probably the least interesting suspect of the bunch). I cannot speak to whether this is all true or not – there’s apparently going to be a book out, which may be a factor in the author’s confidence in his assertions – but let’s face it: it’s dull enough to be real. Although using the term ‘dull’ in relation to a serial killer is perhaps a touch callous.
Anyway, Alan Moore’s From Hell still remains one hell of a graphic novel,
Let them have their conclusion. We already know the truth:
The Vorlons took Jack away.
Truth.
Seriously, if I were a lawyer trying to disprove the DNA, it would be a fairly easy argument:
She was a prostitute. All this proves is they were together at some time before the murder. How does this demonstrate he wasn’t a wastrel who was one of her clients?
Absent significant collaborating evidence, I’m not sure this ‘proves’ anything beyond being ‘acquainted’ with the victim.
