Found here. I’ve always wondered why you never have people writing stories of the demons who escape Hell and say Hey, this ‘lack of eternal torment’ thing is AWESOME and I’m just gonna sit here, nice and out of the way, and bask in it for a while and then I realized that there’s a limit to how long you can write about that. Turns out 100 words is just about right.
My Patreon site is here.
There were a couple of demon characters in the tv series Charmed that were like that. One of them was played by Charisma Carpenter, the other by Billy Zane, IIRC.
The argument could be made that Larry Correia’s ‘Monster Hunter Nemesis’ is basically one long “escaped from Hell” story.
Well actually someone did write that demon out of hell thing CF the exchange between Faustus and Mephistopheles in the Marlowe : All the world is hell and we are not out of it ( Having known and lost the smile of God ) . Not a bad little number that esp for its day . Lente , lente currite equi noctis
