And now it is time for one of the traditional songs of my people. None of it’s true, of course. Except for the parts that are.

There are elements of my parents’ and grandparents’ lives that I am NEVER going to be able to adequately explain to my kids. Hell, I only dimly grasp some of those elements myself. But for my children, it’d be a whole different tribe. An incomprehensible one.
