It doesn’t need to be adapted at all. It’s already perfect, the way it is.
Occasionally, collaborative projects like the SCP Wiki can produce phenomenal pieces that could stand alone as short stories. This one, esp. given the obvious subject-matter knowledge would make a great short sci-fi story.
