I started Karl Gallagher’s Storm Between the Stars this evening. ‘Tis good! Got that space opera vibe that I like, with a nice quasi-nautical theme to it that sounds like it’s been thought out. Check it out; I think readers here will like it.

Book of the Week: The Lost War.
Just started reading it today: Karl Gallagher laid a review copy upon my unworthy hands, and so far it goes well. The basic premise of The Lost War is Let’s send a SCA event to a medieval fantasy setting! and seeing what happens then. And, I must admit: I myself have often wondered what would actually happen. Plus, it’s got a blurb from Duke Sir Cariadoc of the Bow, which is sufficiently gold that I may end up mentioning the book at the baronial meeting this weekend.
It’s a SCAdian thing, yeah.
Book of the Week: Torchship.
This is one of the speculative ones: I know Karl Gallagher from Facebook, Patreon, and here. He’s an alright fellow. He’s also the author of the Torchship Trilogy, which sounds extremely promising. So I’m trying Torchship (the first book). I’ll let you know how it goes.
