It turns out that some of the ad copy I wrote for it, well, kind of sucks. In my defense, that is a rather specialized form of writing that I’ve received no training in, and would happily hand over to somebody who has actual expertise in it. Alas, those people rather reasonably expect to be paid for their efforts, which is where the first stumbling blocks to that plan appear.

Revised draft of TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION Vol 2 off to the editor.
She’ll just be checking edits and looking for any typos we missed. Afterward, I’ll do the same, and then it’ll be time to prep it for publishing. I have every confidence that Kickstarter backers will get the digital versions before the end of August, and the print copies will hopefully not be too far behind. I make no promises about early fulfilment, mind you. There are still places where the system can break down.
Meanwhile, read the first volume of TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION here.

First edits – and COVER – done for TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION Vol 2.
The edits are not completed: my editor and I both need to do another general pass-through before I submit TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION VOL 2: LIGHTS IN THE DARKNESS to KDP. But we are largely there. Worst case scenario, I could get this book published by the end of the week. I will not, obviously, but we have cleared a really big hump here.
I’m going to go have a drink now.
PS: Buy Volume 1!

And so it begins on TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION, VOL. 2: LIGHTS IN THE DARKNESS.
TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION, VOL. 2: LIGHTS IN THE DARKNESS is not ready, but it is ready enough that I can put together a book cover order. Looks like it’s going to clock in at ten stories, 345 pages, and $4.99/$13.99 in Kindle/paperback price. God curse all inflation anyway.
Still on track for a September fulfilment! Keep watching the skies! And buy my other books here.
