I think I need to take a couple of days off from both of the new stories I’m working on right now and think about how to get to their endings. I can probably afford a couple of days: I’ve been writing ’em pretty steady.

Backtracking: I realized that this is an action story, which naturally required there to be giant eels. I mean, really. Why put your heroes in a sewer and not give them giant eels to fight? The trick is to have the giant eels mean something.

I can’t believe how long it took me to realize what the ghosts in the “Ghost Road” were. I was pretty much trusting my subconscious to get me out of that one. And lo! It did.

I’m not really thrilled with the stuff I wrote today, if I’m being honest. It felt a little forced. I’m either running a fever or killing off this cold once and for all. Gonna be fun to find out which.
