A new room has been discovered at San Jose’s Winchester Mystery House, a Victorian mansion that was home to a widow of the Winchester rifle fortune.
The home’s preservation team recently opened the new room to the public.
It’s like none of them have ever watched a single, solitary horror film in their collective lives. “Hey! You know that crazy-woman’s house that kind of Reeks of Wrongness? Well, here’s this room in there that we’ve managed to miss for ninety-four years! It’s chock-full of crazy-woman stuff! It’s been sealed since the Great Earthquake! We should open it to the public!” Yeah, and you should having the formal opening sequence during a full lunar eclipse while defrocked monks are chanting in Enochian. It’ll make it really homey.
…The Darwin Awards website in universes where supernatural activity actually goes on on a regular basis must make for fascinating reading.
